Neoclassical chest of drawers

Fine chest having a frieze drawer protruding over a row of three drawers, all fitted with brass urn escutcheons and pulls in Louis XVI style and flanked by a pair of free-standing ebonized fluted and swollen columns with ivory capitals and plinths. Raised on four channeled spade legs corresponding with columns. In bookmatched walnut. Created during the period of Austro-Hungarian rule of Northern Italy.
