Superb and extremely rare sideboard by Claude Olivier-Merson (1922-2002), featuring sculpted central segment covered with parchment and enclosing storage niches, removable tray (!) and a drawer. Fitted with bronze-dore Art Deco style hardware and escutcheons and a beautiful, full width decorative scroll mount support, bridging the cabinet and sculpted platform base, both in book-matched palisander. Bronze-dore moldings on doors and feet. Exquisite piece of excellent quality.
